Monday, Monday...

No telling what might happen on a Monday! Even the Monday, Monday song shows two possible outcomes to Monday.

The first verse starts out like this:
Monday Monday, so good to me,
Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be

And the second verse like this:
Monday Monday, can't trust that day,
Monday Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way

So what kind of Monday is it going to be? So far I'm doing a-okay! Got to work mostly on time, not too awfully tired today. Hubby is picking this up after work today:And we are both excited to be getting our 2nd new car in 6 months! :) Yippee - no more repair bills, no more truck nickel and diming us. No more horrific gas mileage. And a pretty, somewhat sporty new car to make me smile in my garage!

So hoping that overall this Monday will be good to me!

Kinda like you and your airline brat status - hubby is a General Motors brat - both his parents retired from GM so we got the fantastic employee price on this car compliments of his mom!

Our payment will actually be lower on this than it was on the 2002 Ford Ranger 4X4 we traded in on it. And we bought that used in 2006 so it wasn't a new car payment!

Yep we are very lucky and maybe a little spoiled to have two nice new cars. (I know my parents lean toward the spoiled part LOL)

Hmmm, I have not bought a new car since ... wow, 1992. I'm driving a 97 Saturn SL1 POS right now ... I desperately NEED a new vehicle.

2 years ago I was driving a 1996 Saturn SL - should have kept it - GREAT GAS MILEAGE!

Hey! We need to start a Saturn SL1 POS owner's club! I have one too!
186,000 and it sounds like a lawnmower with wings but every day that it starts and gets me the 16 miles to work I see as an occasion of gratitude. So in a way driving it is making me a better person.

The guys at the firehouse want to put a blue lightbar on it. I keep trying to explain to them how sad that would be. And how the draw on the power would probably cause me to have to Fred Flinstone it up hills.

Well I don't have one any more but should have kept mine. It was in great shape - got it from my grandfather. It was low milage, no rust, but I was tired of driving a 10 year old gold Saturn! LOL SO I now have a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe (that gets 1/2 the gas mileage) and hubby has a 2008 Pontiac G6. We will probably trade vehicles eventually since driving the G6 will save me about $100 a month in gas.

The new car is really pretty! Congrats! What does gas cost you these days per month? I spend about $60 a month lately.

$60 a month - lucky you! I pay more than that for 1 tank AND I'm using 2 tanks a week. So approx $130 per week or $520 a month. It's insane.

But I'll be driving the G6 soon and that will save me aobut $100 a month.
