Wandering on Wednesday
I cannot stay focused today. I want to eat - EVERYTHING. I want to take a nap. I want to go home.
After our company left on Monday, hubby came home. When I got home he looked kinda forlorn and I gave him a hug - which prompted him to tear up and say that "S" was his only friend. Of course I disagreed with him as I am his friend - but also being his wife puts me in another category. So I will have to figure something out for a trip to Oklahoma for us to visit - but still NOT CHRISTMAS. We did agree to go on vacation with them next April to Playa de Carmen in Mexico - an all inclusive resort vacation. Didn't have to twist my arm on that one at all! LOL
Hubby's fucktard behavior from last week seems to have been a one off - it hasn't been repeated and yes I am still keeping an eye out for anything that might be out of the ordinary. I can handle what happened - not much to be honest - but it could have been so much worse. Hopefully he has gotten this midlife crisis bullshit out of his system.
Hubby got a call back from an interview he had with NYS 3 weeks ago. The guy left a message on our voice mail yesterday. We are hoping it's a job offer! He called back today and the guy who called is out of the office until Friday so we have to wait until then.
This weekend is mother's day - hosting at our house. So nice that all I have to worry about is shopping and making the food because the maid will ensure the house is nice and clean. Yippee - she did take my requests quite well and everything was nicely polished with Pledge when we got home last Saturday. So this Saturday I can go shopping and buy flowers to plant in my front beds and food to serve to my family on Sunday and not have to worry about vacuuming and mopping and scrubbing toilets. I do think she will work out. Week 2 was much better than week 1 and week 3 is bound to be even better!
Well enough of my rambling nothingness post. Oh wait - one more thing to make this a Wicked Wednesday post too- at the gym today on the treadmill there was a guy in front of me on the elliptical machine. He was old - really OLD! He had a toupe! It was not properly glued down, as he was pedaling away it was flapping away. I couldn't tear my eyes from it and I was laughing, until I nearly cried, I was choking back the snorts, I think he heard me as his hand went to his head several times trying to pat it back down. It didn't work.

Wicked Wednesday...
Not feeling particularly wicked anymore! I hired a maid who is coming this Saturday to do spring cleaning with me as I will probably work along side of her as there is so much to do. My current mood can best be described as ECSTATIC! And I am in this weird twilightzonelike place where everything is a great deal. The gym $20 a month. The housekeeper $15 an hour! Can you believe it? I'd pay twice that just to not have to do it myself!
So I'm feeling wicked awesome (is that too 80's?) about my good luck lately!
Some wicked cool things I'd like to do now that housework doesn't have to be a weekly chore for me:

Some wicked cool things I'd like to do now that housework doesn't have to be a weekly chore for me:
- Scrapbooking - have had the stuff for YEARS and no time to work on it. Although I might find my passion for that has died out a bit over time.
- More gardening! Planting flowers and veggies is more interesting than scrubbing toilets to me.
- Enjoying my freshly cleaned house without having to put in the elbow grease to get it that way!

Wicked Wednesday - The big FU
Today's edition of Wicked Wednesday contains a few things I want to get off my chest:
- First of all a big FU to Frontier for the DSL being out yet again. As I settled in to watch The Biggest Loser last night and spend the two hours actually being productive on work projects, the DSL went out and never came back on.
- Second of all an even bigger FU to NationalGrid for ruining my morning and effectively my entire day. It goes something like this - crawl out of bed, groggy and cranky, let the dog out and try not to kick him just because, drag ass into the bathroom and reach to turn on the shower when POW - electric goes out, it is 6:30am. I wait, patiently thinking it will come right back on. But no - at 7:00am still no power - I call my mom and dad 1.4 miles down the road - maybe I can shower there? Nope - they have NO POWER. So I got dressed and figured a little deoderant and a squirt of perfume and I'm fine - just having a very bad hair day. I get my things and go out to my car get in and stupidly push the button for the garage door. Of course it DOESN'T OPEN! LOL Hubby releases the latch for me opens the door and closes it behind me. I'm off. It's now halfway through my day and my scalp is itching and I'm not scratching cause that will make my already bedhead hair look greasy. It's torture! Thanks a lot National Grid!
- And finally a big ole THANKS to my customer who can't make up their mind. I have now run and re-run and re-run again this job - and yep right now I am once more running it for the 4th time. Don't worry about it, I have nothing better to do, really!

Yes friends there is such a thing as TOO Casual...
My workplace enjoys a casual dress code. We can pretty much wear whatever we want on any given day. The only guidelines are those of personal choice. I generally wear jeans, a sweater, and boots or nice casual shoes. I do not like to wear tennis shoes (personal preference cause I think they make my feet look like aircraft carriers) but don't have a problem with those who do. On any given day around here you can see holey jeans, raggedy t-shirts, sweatpants, flip flops, etc. Most of the people who take casual to the extreme are of the male
gender! shocking right? ;-) So today I see a co-worker who probably wore snow boots in due to the foot of snow we received over the past 24 hours. Upon taking off his boots he donned giant fuzzy slippers with fur around top. These are the type of slippers that have no sole. But this is also the guy who rides around the office on a scooter when the mood hits him and has been known to walk around carrying a lacrosse stick as well. I guess nothing he does should shock me.
I can't wait to see what levels of casual undress these people come up with once summer arrives!

Wicked Wednesday - Bra Sizing
In honor of my annual Boob Smashing event that happened on Monday - and just for fun I present you with the following pictorial that will explain bra sizing once and for all:

I got this in an email forward - not sure the actual original source but very creative whoever they are! :)

Wicked Wednesday...
Not sure if this will be a regular feature or not. I just know that Wordless Wednesday is not within the scope of my capabilities. Wordless? I don't have Wordless days! Even if I posted a picture I'd have to comment.
Speaking of crazy forwards (from VBC's post yesterday) - this one was posted on an internet board I frequent recently with the headline:
Other things that make me in a wicked mood today - SNOW - shitloads of snow! Okay so we got about 6-8" and then it turned to rain and now it's an ice rink out there. I wake up this morning and think "maybe I'll work from home rather than drive 52 miles one way on treacherous roads just to sit in my cube and do the same thing I could do from home?" So I emailed my boss to tell him this at around 7am and I proceed to start working a full hour and a half before I'm due at the office. Then my boss arrives at the office at 8:30 and emails me back to say "the roads are wet and a little slushy out this way but otherwise in pretty good shape, let me know what you are going to do." I took this to mean - GET YOUR ASS IN HERE. So I did - got here around 10:30 and not a single person has come to find me, ask me a question, or talk to me in any way since I got here (well I didn't exactly announce my arrival either) so I could be sitting on my couch with my laptop watching Oprah while I did this instead of worrying about my crazy drive home.
and now a WICKED WISH: I wish to be a fly on the wall in the office of my old department head at my old company tomorrow. Oh how I wish I could hear what goes down in there tomorrow - both "T" and "C" are giving notice tomorrow - she will be beside herself. Not sure if it will be anger, fear, desperation or a little bit of all three but for once that bitch is likely to show some emotion. These two will make for the 4th and 5th person to come to my new company in the past year. Is it wrong that I wish to watch her crash and burn? If it is I don't want to be right.
So there it is the first and maybe only episode of Wicked Wednesday - I'll see how I'm feeling next week.

And I'm like "really?" why do people make up crazy stories about pictures? Look around people - they are wearing beads, the younger woman is drinking a HUGE ASS BEER, and the sign behind them says "TRICOU HOUS" a famous BAR on Bourbon Street in New Orleans! The minute I saw this picture I thought MARDI GRAS - not horrible exhibitionist bitches who need to be thrown out of Disneyland for terrorizing little children with their mouse breasts!(Click on picture to see full size)
